Workshop on art activism: Women. Equality. Politics — Announcement

October 13, 10:00 – 20:00, at the School of Visual Communications, within the framework of the special theme “Women. Equality. Politics” of the 5th International Contest “Stop the Censorship! Citizens for Free Countries” will host a workshop  “GIF animation as an effective tool of art activism “.

During the master class participants will find out:

– What is GIF animation;

– which tools can create GIF animation;

– how quickly to turn a static image into a dynamic one;

– features of working with dynamic objects.

As a result of the implementation of the practical part, the participants will receive the completed work, the author’s statement, created using GIF animation.

Information about the mentor:

Lev Kormich is a graphic designer, Prize winner of the International Computer Talent Championship “Golden Bite”. Teacher of the School of Visual Communication.

During the master class, a meeting will be held with Ella Lamakh, expert on gender equality issues.

To participate in the master class, you need a laptop with Adobe Photoshop installed.

The idea of ​​the competition arose among journalists of the Stop Censorship movement! In 2010, thanks to the activists of a public organization, the Center UA has turned into an independent project, in 2018 it is held in the fifth place. The competition is an interdisciplinary project that features a democratic format – everyone can participate, regardless of education, citizenship or age.

In the 5th International Competition “Stop the Censorship! Citizens for Free Countries” was attended by Ukrainian and foreign participants from 19 countries, including from Poland, Italy, Mexico, Iran, Ecuador, China, etc. 610 works of various formats were submitted to the competition. According to him, Internet users from 93 countries were watching.
